For over 5 years these blighted buildings have stood vacant and deteriorating. The planned green renovation achieved LEED Platinum status, the highest level of certification of this green building certification system. The completed project is comprised of two storefronts, a two-bedroom apartment and three, one-bedroom apartments. With the help of the local contractor, Greensaw, the project incorporates a multitude of reclaimed materials, enriching the building with historic elements from Philadelphia’s past.
